Australian Automotive week is back in Melbourne in 2010 with a host of industry automotive activities that kick off from Saturday, 20 March 2010.
In its 11th year, Australian Automotive Week promotes the importance of the billion dollar motoring industry to both the Victorian and Australian economies.
The week, which begins on Saturday, 20 March until Sunday, 28 March, draws together stake holders from all parts of the automotive industry including vehicle manufacturers, component manufacturers and suppliers and the retail automotive sector.
“The Victorian Government is proud to support Australian Automotive Week 2010 (AAW 2010) – an exciting program of activities that has developed into the premier showcase for the Australian automotive industry.
Now in its 11th year, AAW 2010 will be held in conjunction with the Melbourne Formula 1 Grand Prix, at the time when the world’s automotive focus is firmly fixed on Melbourne.
AAW 2010 promotes all aspects of the automotive sector, underlining the importance of automotive manufacturing in Australia - particularly Victoria - as the hub of Australian automotive activity.
The automotive industry has been challenged by tough global economic conditions, but as the AAW2010 program demonstrates, the local sector has the experience, resources and the outstanding niche capabilities to succeed.
I encourage anyone with an interest in the automotive industry to make the most of the outstanding opportunities presented by AAW 2010 - from seminars and conferences to a range of activities showcasing the excellence of new automotive design, manufacturing and innovation”.
